Yes, the number of frames will increase as the memory is increased.

The CMOS checksum error is most likely the result of the CMOS battery on the processor board needing to be replaced.

You can access the BIOS by pressing the Del key at power on and select Optimized Defaults- then save and exit. The oscillosope should boot up, or there are other issues.

Tektronix offers the TRG101 adapter to use digital channels as a external trigger input. This would also require the MDO3MSO license to use the digital probes for the adapter.
