Can the 2281S measure a pulsed current of 3 volts and 10 mS duration?
Can the 2281S measure a pulsed current of 3 volts and 10 mS duration?
The current would be driven into a 1 ohm load so about 3 amps will be drawn. -
6430 1mA output accuracy
Hello,
I am working on an application where we use the 6430 source to inject currents into a piece of our own hardware, which for simplicity we will simply refer to as an I/V converter, for a calibration process. We have 5 operating ranges from 2uA to 20mA.We test 95%, 75%, 50%,25%, and 5% of each of our operating ranges. In practice, I am able to get the unit to pass our calibration test on every test, EXCEPT 5% of our 20mA range, and 50% of our 2mA range. Both of the tests use a 1mA output from the 6430 on the 1mA output range.
The error for these two inputs is significant for only this case (around 2% according to our hardware when injecting 1mA on the 1mA range). Other output currents on the 1mA range seem to behave as expected. If I manually inject the current and perform the test, but utilize the 6430's 10mA range (1mA output on 10mA range), the error goes away and we get a result that our test would pass.
From the data sheet I would expect the 6430 1mA range to be more accurate than the 10mA, but based on the fact that all of our other tests for the same circuit pass and the magnitude of this error, coupled by the fact the pattern shows up on multiple IVs I have tested and two separate 6430 sources, I am wondering if I missed something in terms of how the 6430 unit should be set up? Any suggestions you can provide would be appreciated. For now I am trying to determine if I can force the unit to inject 1mA on the 10mA range via labview.

Substitute for 131-0258-00 probe jack?
Hi, I noticed the 131-0258-00 probe jack is discontinued. Is there a substitute available? And if so, with which single ended probe it is compatiable with?
Last, do you recommend any Commercial bnc jack if you are not supporting it?

Can I upgrade the voltage limits on my 2100/120?
I purchased the 2100/120 but saw other versions (220/240, etc.) online.
Is the 2100 is just the base version and the voltage limits are upgradable?

Problems remotely acquiring 100,000 samples with MSO4104 using LabVIEW
I am having problems remotely acquiring 100,000 samples with my MSO4104 using LabVIEW. When I set the record length to 100k, I only receivee 10k samples and I am not sure why this is happening.

2470 maximum voltage and isolation relay feature
Hello,
What is the maximum voltage of the 2470? I read online that the 2470 could withstand 1000 V, while the manual indicates it can handle up to 1100 volts. Also is the 2470 is a direct replacement for the 2410, and does it include an 'Isolation Relay' feature like the 2410 does?

I accidently applied ~225V to my 2450 terminals
I accidently applied over 250v to the meter while it was in meter mode. It gave a heatsink over temp (even though it isn't).
There is voltage at the terminals. Any ideas?

How do I open a MSO46 exported .tss file?
The MSO46 can export a .tss file which is kind if like a zip file. How do I open it?

DMM6500 "The instrument has encountered a fatal, unrecoverable error"
Hello,
We encountered the following errors on the same piece of equipment on 2 separate occasions:
"The instrument has encountered a fatal, unrecoverable error Power cycle this instrument. if the issue persists, contact us at tek.com/keithley PC=004AD934 v01.07.70"
"The instrument has encountered a fatal, unrecoverable error Power cycle this instrument. if the issue persists, contact us at tek.com/keithley PC=00482120 v01.07.70"
Both times, the device was in DCI mode, but was not actively acquiring measurements. After power cycling, the device returned to normal operation for both instances. To my knowledge, this specific device has not been used for current measurements; It is mostly used for voltage and continuity measurements since it was received in late January 2022. The rate of occurrence for these error messages is not negligible based on how infrequently this device is used.
Can you please let me know if this might simply be a software issue that can be fixed remotely or if we'll need to have the item shipped back entirely for repair?

DMM6500 "-222 Parameter data out of range" reported when adjusting low DIGI DCI with calibrator and reference multimeter
I am measuring the in circuit current using a reference DMM as specified in the adjustment procedure in the DMM6500 Calibration and Adjustment Manual. The regular DCI adjustment steps work fine. However, the DIGI DCI steps report an error, with essentially the same value.
cal.adjust.step.execute(stepname, value)
cal.adjust.step.execute("cal_DCI_10uA_fs_pos", 1.0000105e-05)
cal.adjust.step.execute("cal_DCI_DIGI_10uA_fs_pos", 1.0000011e-05)-222 Parameter data out of range
