There are no adapters to add Ethernet Support to the TDS3012.
Tektronix used to produce a TDS3GV GPIB, VGA, RS-232 Interface Module for the TDS3000 series of oscilloscopes. Please check the open market for availability.

The TPS2k offers RS232 and a Centronics Port for communication. It does not feature communication via LAN.

This is not an error code but a status returned from the GPIB function ibwrt(). It is not specific to any make or manufacture of remote instrument. Code 256 refers to bit 8 (2^8) of the ibsta (status byte of the GPIB interface). Code 256 indicates that the IO operation has completed.

Hello,
The SQPIN500X has a Differential Input Voltage range of +/- 500V at 2X. This probe showing overshoot voltage to be around 500V means that the probe could be clipping the signal and you aren't seeing all of the data. However, this is a very good probe for your application. I would suggest using the WSQPIN1000X tip cable, with a +/- 1000V range at 2X. This probe tip will give a larger differential range to avoid this clipping.
