The DMM916 went out of support in 2001. We no longer provide support on this item and stopped production of most all the handheld DMM's about this time.

It could be a hardware issue and a repair is needed or an OS restore then reload the TekScope app could fix it.

  • RE: How do I create a Bode Plot on my MDO3102?

    Wed, 28 Sep 2022 22:31:17 GMT – How do I create a Bode Plot on my MDO3102?

    Hello,

The internal AFG on the MDO3012 does not have the ability to produce a swept waveform, and the scope does not feature a dedicated bode plot tool. However, you have two options on how to generate a bode plot using the MDO3102.

The first is to set the AFG output to noise, feed it through the DUT, and into the RF input of the scope. This will show you amplitude response, but will not show phase.

The second option is to connect the AFG output to channel 1 and the DUT input, then the output of the DUT to channel 2. Use the built in measurements to find amplitude and phase, then use a script to sweep the AFG, record the measurements, and then plot the data.

Power Analysis is a purchasable option that your scope might not have installed. You can check this in the About page under the Help header. The software would show up in the Installed Options table if it is on the scope.

  • RE: DPO7254 Blue Screen

    Wed, 28 Sep 2022 22:31:13 GMT – DPO7254 Blue Screen

    Hello,
The Recovery Media must be the Tektronix version that matches the Model serial number and hardware in the scope.

Also it could just be a bad disk, or the scope is not working well enough to even do the OS restore in which case a repair will be needed.

    Wed, 28 Sep 2022 22:31:10 GMT – RSA306B Bit Stream

It is not possible to get demodulated data the RSA306B for a GFSK modulated signal. However it can capture then demod to a symbol table. Also, IQ data can be imported to MATLAB for further processing.

  • RE: MSO5204 BIOS defaults (RTC battery failure?)

Wed, 28 Sep 2022 22:31:06 GMT – MSO5204 BIOS defaults (RTC battery failure?)

The battery should be on the COM-E Carrier board. The battery should be a CR2032/HF1N. (with solder tabs)
See the service manual at the link below for instrument modules and disassembly.
    https://www.tek.com/en/oscilloscope/dpo70000-mso70000-manual-6

And of course you can send the MSO5204 into our factory service department and they can do the work.
