• RE: Rack Mount Kits

Hello. Unfortunately, the RM2000B rack mount will not match the TBS2000B. TSB2XX2B 2 channel model uses rack mount RMB2020. TSB2XX4B 4 channel model uses rack mount RMB2040.

    Hi,

Unfortunately this part is not available.

  • RE: Is the FCA3000 a good replacement for the Fluke PM6685

You asked if the FCA3000 is a good replacement for the Fluke PM6685. I compared the specifications of the PM6685 to the FCA3000. Most specifications (Range, frequency resolution, time resolution, voltage resolution, etc.) of the FCA3000/3100 units are better than the PM6685, so the FCA3000/3100 could be a great option.

However, the PM6685 does have a battery option for field use. The FCA3000/3100 do not have a battery option, and these units require a power source (outlet).

The FCA3000/3100 has a few different models. These have an varying input range of 300MHz to 20GHz. The different models and specification can be reviewed at the FCA3000/3100 product page. I have linked this below.

Let me know if you have any questions about the FCA3000/31000. If you are interested in purchasing or receiving a quote for one of the frequency counters/analyzers, feel free to contact our sales team at 1 800 833 9200.

  • RE: Questions On Discontinued TBS3014B

The TDS3000 is in Calibration/Best Effort Repair - The product has exited the Full Support time period but is still eligible for calibration services, with either moderate or limited repair capabilities.

The 3 Series MDO is the recommended replacement for the TDS3000 Series.

  • RE: Questions About MSO56

I see that you have a few questions about the MSO56B oscilloscope. They are addressed below: How does the Scope store the data?
    • Application/User Data is stored directly on the Linux/Windows Solid State Drive that can be accessed (installed/removed) underneath the instrument.
    How does it sanitize?
    • The sanitization procedures for the MSO56B is pretty straight forward, and mainly involves removing the SSD device from the bottom of the instrument.
    • The sanitization procedures for the MSO56B can be found in the Declassification and Security on page 6.
    • 5 Series MSO B Declassification and Security Manual: https://www.tek.com/en/manual/oscilloscope/5-and-6b-series-mixed-signal-oscilloscopes-declassification-and-security-6-series-mso
Does the user have access of using the operating system.
    • I am not quite sure what is meant by this question. The MSO56B can operate as a dedicated oscilloscope (closed-Linux OS) or as a Windows PC (open Windows) with access the scope’s HW.
    • Page 48 of the Datasheet: https://www.tek.com/en/datasheet/5-series-b-mso-mixed-signal-oscilloscope-datasheet

Do you have any other questions about the instrument? I would be happy to assist you. And If you are interested in purchasing or receiving a quote for an MSO56B, feel free to contact our sales team at 1 800 833 9200.

  • RE: Question On The MDO4034B 3

The MDO4034B-3 was an MDO4kB with the 3GHz spectrum analyzer option. We dropped that naming convention when the "C" model came out, but the MDO4034C with 3 GHz spectrum analyzer would be very similar to the MDO4034B-3 that you have. Most differences between the "B" and "C" models is listed here: https://www.tek.com/en/support/faqs/what-are-primary-differences-between-dpo-mso4000b-mdo4000-mdo4000b-and-mdo4000c

  • RE: Python causing issue on MSO56

Please send the Python code that you were testing. When you try to reset the scope, does the scope seem like it is turning on? For example, do any of the button lights turn on or do you hear the fans running? Does anything show up on the screen?

  • RE: Purchasing Questions

All of our scopes come standard with 1 bandwidth matched passive probe per analog scope channel (up to 1GHz bandwidth). Unless you have a requirement for differential measurements or have some other specific requirements that would require an active probe those should work well for you.

I do wonder why you are looking at the MDO3032. Incase you were not aware, the 3 Series MDO was release as a direct replacement to that platform a few years ago and matches or exceeds all features and specs at a slightly lower price point. If you want to take a look at that scope series, you can do so here: https://www.tek.com/en/products/oscilloscopes/3-series-mdo

  • RE: Programmatic read Clip?

To query if a channel is clipping, you can use the command CH:CLIPping? and replace with the channel number. The scope will then return a 0 or 1, with 0 indicating the channel is not clipping.

  • RE: MSO58

To change the measurements source use the command, MEASUrement:MEAS:SOUrce CH
