RE: MSO2024B USB Communication Lost during Equipment Control
Hello,
Unfortunately this is a known issue with the MSO2kB. If you have access to a DPO2CONN module you can switch to using LAN instead of USB. Otherwise you will need to restart the scope if the USB interface stops responding.

RE: RSA507A USB Cable length limitations
Hello,
In my experience, the USB connection should be kept short on the USB RSAs. This is mostly because the RSAs transfer quite a lot of data at the full 40MHz span (about 230MB/s streaming). The best option here would be to keep the RSA and the computer close together. A repeater would have to be used for certain, but I do not know of anyone who's tried such a setup. I've run short (~6ft.) USB extensions on our RSA before and had good luck, but more than that may introduce some connection reliability concerns at such a high data rate. Most systems similar to yours use a small computer in close proximity to the RSA, and then run the computer's ethernet connection and power down to the ground/base station.

RE: Upper Bandwidth Limit of ADA400A
Hello,
The upper bandwidth of this probe is 1MHz, where the probe is -3dB down. The >1MHz is indicating that the probe can at least reach 1MHz.
To use the ADA400A with the MSO2000B, you will need the TPA-BNC adaptor and a TekVPI external power supply (119-8726-01).

RE: MSO58 Upgrading Firmware
Hello,
The most recent update for your MSO58 non-Windows is v1.38.1: https://www.tek.com/en/support/software/firmware/5-series-mso-nonwindows-firmware-v1381
As per the install instructions for v1.38.1, if your MSO58 is currently on a version less than v1.24, you will need to install v1.24.9 first: https://www.tek.com/en/support/software/firmware/5-series-mso-nonwindows-firmware--v1249

RE: MSO72004C Upgrade to SSD with Windows 10 and USB3 Gen2 Software Suite
It is possible to upgrade your scope to Windows 10, the part to do so is DPO7SSD-W10. The exact option will depend on whether your scope is using the motherboard supporting the IntelCore 2 (M566) or the IntelCore i7 (M581) CPU, you can verify this by checking the system information within Windows on the scope or referring to the attached image to identify the I/O shield of the motherboard. When you are ready you can order the part directly from buy@tektronix.com
The software option for USB 3 automated compliance testing is USBSSP-TX which requires options DJA and USB-TX. You can view more details in the datasheet here: https://www.tek.com/en/datasheet/usb32-type-c-transmitter-and-receiver-solutions

RE: MSO64 Upgradable Windows Disk
Unfortunately, there is no way to dual boot with Linux/Windows off the same drive. The only option is to have both drives and physically swap them out. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you.
