RE: TCP202 - record continuously
Hi ,
Seamless data acquisition is only possible in a single acquisition. If the data that you capture is split over multiple acquisitions then there will be gaps between them. For that reason, your maximum length of seamless recording is limited by your maximum record length and minimum required sample rate. In the case of your DPO4104, the RL is 10M points. If you only needed a sample rate of 10KS/s, then you could record up to 1000s in one acquisition. If you needed to sample faster than that, you would have to sacrifice on the length of the acquisition.
There is one other limitation here, which is the 400s/div maximum horizontal scale on the DPO4104. This means that even if you continue to lower your sample rate, you will only ever get a maximum of 4000s in a single acquisition.
So the questions become how long do you need to acquire data for, and how frequently do you need to sample?

RE: AFG1022 Sweep mode operation
Hello,
The AFG1022 does not have an output for the internal modulation source. However since the AFG1022 is a two channel model you can use the second channel to imitate the modulation source using a ramp function.
That being said there are two caveats. The first is that align phase does not work, and the phase drifts when using a swept waveform. If you have access to an AFG1062 the phase does not drift, but you will still need to align the phase manually with a phase offset.

RE: Swapping TDS 210 boards
Hello,
The TDS210 used an optional communications module (TDS2CM) to add GPIB and RS-232. You can remove the module from one unit and plug into another unit. It is not tied to the main board internal to the scope.

RE: DPO2024 Stuck on splash screen
Hello,
Try reinstalling the latest firmware, as this can help jumpstart any stuck relays. You will need to force the scope to load the firmware if it is the same as the firmware version already on the scope and I suggest doing this step even if you don't think the scope is on the save firmware version. To force the scope to load the file, create an empty file named "override.txt" on the drive in the root or topmost folder. Make sure that the USB drive is FAT32 file formatted. Then follow the installation instructions linked on the firmware page: https://www.tek.com/en/support/software/firmware/mso2012-software.

RE: TBS1064 Startup Check Error
Hello,
This unit will need to be sent in for repair. You can follow the troubleshooting tree in the Service Manual to try and figure out the issue if you want to attempt to repair it yourself, but I would suggest sending in the unit. Here is the Service Manual for your scope: https://www.tek.com/en/oscilloscope/tbs1000-digital-storage-oscilloscope-manual. If you decide to send in your scope, you can contact our Service team by emailing rmarequest@tektronix.com or calling 1-800-833-9200 option 2.

RE: TDS2024 start up failure
Hello ,
The TDS2024 went out of production in 2006 and has been out of support since 2011. Our service group still offers best effort repair but if the power supply is the issue I show them as no longer available.
If you like you might consider reviewing the service manual to troubleshoot.
