If you are using the RMS measurement, you can gate the measurement to be between the cursors. To do this, push the button for More in the Measurement menu. Push this button until Gating is highlighted and then use the side-menu buttons to select Between Cursors.

The RMD2000 is supply depleted with no replacement.

The two closest replacement scopes would be the MDO3014 or the newer option of a 100 MHz MDO34. They both have very similar specs and capabilities but the MDO34 has a larger display that supports touch control and will come in at a slightly lower price.
