We never offered a travel pelican case for the DSA8300 series. If you like, the data sheet provides physical characteristics information. Perhaps you could order a generic case and cut out foam to meet the dimensions?

RE: Capturing with a trigger on TBS2000B
The TBS2000B should give you slightly more data than what you see on the screen, but this would just be an extra second or so. We would need to do more troubleshooting to help you, but there should be a solution. Best way would be to send us the data you are saving along with a .set file of your current setup.

Yes, you can use MATLAB. You can use NI-VISA with MATLAB where you can test commands for syntax or execution errors.

Yes, the MSO58 can capture 1 kHz, but be warned that if that is your primary goal, the MSO5 could be overkill. Probably a good idea to understand more your application and to review your equipment list to make sure the right instrument is selected.

RE: MSO56 - Capture on every trigger?
You can setup the MSO56 to save a screenshot on an event such as a trigger. To set up Act on Event go to the trigger settings > mode & holdoff > act on trigger.
